Man hit by car at construction site

A 48-year-old man reported that he was hit by a car near a construction site at 444 West 35th Street on Thursday, March 1 at 12:20 p.m. The victim told police that he was directing traffic at the location and after directing a vehicle to stop, the driver reportedly yelled “F--k you!” to the victim and proceeded through the intersection, striking the victim in the thigh with his front bumper. The driver then fled west on West 35th Street. The victim told police that he wasn’t injured and he refused medical assistance at the scene.

Bag stolen from Terra Market

A 21-year-old woman reported that her bag was stolen while she was shopping inside Terra Market at 533 Ninth Avenue on Friday, March 2 at 4 p.m. The woman told police that she had the bag in a shopping cart and stepped away to get something. She said that when she returned, her bag was gone. She told police that the bag contained her Samsung Galaxy phone, $100, her daughter’s birth certificate and U.S. passports and Social Security cards belonging to both her and her daughter.

Woman harassed by bouncer

A 43-year-old woman told police that a bouncer for The Avenue nightclub at 116 10th Avenue harassed her on Friday, March 2 at 3:30 a.m. The victim told police that she was drinking in the club when the bouncer dragged her out of the venue and threw her to the ground.

Delivery man’s bike stolen

A 22-year-old delivery man reported that his bike was stolen from in front of 210 West 21st Street on Friday, March 2 at 12:30 p.m. The victim told police that he was making a delivery at the location and when he was returning to the bike, he noticed that it had been removed without permission. He said that he saw a white man in his 20s, about 5’8”, riding the bike south on Seventh Avenue but was unable to catch him.

Man arrested for assault at Seventh and West 14th

Police arrested a 24-year-old man for assault at the northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and West 14th Street on Sunday, March 4 at 4:30 a.m. Police said that the suspect punched the 31-year-old victim in the face causing visible injuries, including swelling and cuts.
