Man arrested for milk theft

A 23-year-old man was arrested after he took a $2 bottle of milk from a 10th Avenue bodega shelf and tried to conceal it in his jeans before leaving the store, police said. The man was caught following the early morning attempted theft March 23 and London Grocery, and apologized, saying “I’m sorry, I’ll go pay now,” he told police. “I just wanted some milk.” Police said that he was also in possession of a small envelope containing heroin residue. The man, identified as living at a local men’s shelter, was charged with petit larceny.

2 arrested for public lewdness

Police arrested a 29-year-old man and a 38-year-old man for criminal trespass inside 304 West 21st Street after the pair were seen having sex in the building’s vestibule on Saturday, March 24 at 2:57 a.m. A building resident reported the incident to police, who said that the two men engaged in sex in the vestibule, which is open to public view. Police said that the 29-year-old man was in possession of a controlled substance. The men were also charged with public lewdness and the younger man was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

marijuana arrest

Police arrested a 21-year-old man for criminal possession of marijuana at the northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and West 28th Street on Friday, March 23 at 2:40 p.m. Police said that the suspect was smoking a marijuana cigarette while walking down the sidewalk and, when searched, was allegedly in possession of an additional quantity of marijuana.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man for criminal mischief inside Eighth Avenue Tobacco at 288 Eighth Avenue on Friday, March 23 at 9:30 p.m. Police said that the suspect walked into the store and intentional hit and broke a lamp.

Man arrested for BB gun

Police arrested a 20-year-old man for criminal possession of a weapon after he was stopped for smoking pot in public on West 40th Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues on Friday, March 23 at 11:40 p.m. Police said that the suspect was spotted on the sidewalk with a lit marijuana cigarette and was holding an imitation pistol when he was stopped, police said.
