CPR, first aid and bandaging were a few of the topics covered at Canine Retreat by AKC’s Chelsea location as pet owners diligently took notes and asked questions at a “Dog Safety Seminar” on Oct. 16. Dr. Daniel Smith of West Village Veterinary Hospital led the discussion and answered questions on a range of subjects, including preventative care, accidental poisoning and weather-related safety issues. “Canine Retreat recognizes the importance of first aid treatment for pets,” said James Tysseling, COO of Canine Retreat by AKC. “We look forward to offering additional types of events to neighborhood pet owners in the near future.”
